Montessori Live is the first MACTE accredited Online Montessori Training Program. It is our mission to convenience the certification process through innovation, affordability, and flexibility.
Within the curriculum of our certification program we have thousands of instruction videos and it's our goal to someday be able to make the entire catalog free on UA-cam. In the meantime, we've got a lot of exciting developments planned and we'll be gradually releasing inspiring interviews with Montessori educators from around the world and more free lessons from our founder Dr. Kym Elder.

Thanks for the positive feedback!
Love it! Thank you so much!
I would love an in depth comparison of this with Singaporean Math. 🤔
❤
MB, my favorite teacher !
What is the name of this material?
The numerals can be purchased from Neinhuis or Alison's Montessori. There are two sizes. I like the smaller size for the fractions and the larger size for whole numbers. The cut-out "holes" representing negative numbers are homemade from the craft foam pieces (I think that is what they are called) that can be purchased from a craft store.
I’m asking about the number line and the red lines. That represents the distance. Thank you
That material was available from Neinhuis Montessori.
Could you tell me the material you are using, or even better - a link to purchase it? Specifically the negative bead bars (colored bar cards with empty holes). Thank you!
Hi, The colored bead bars with holes are handmade from the colored craft foam you can buy at Michael's or a similar craft store. They are cut so that the holes are the same size as the colored beads to allow the student to place the colored bead bar on top of the holes. The length of the foam piece is the same as the beadier (including the wires so that the holes last, if that makes sense!) Thanks for your question. This material was initially developed by Harvey Hallenberg. I took my elementary training from him in the mid-nineties and have used these materials ever since! I hope that helps.
Thank’s so much! I love that idea/material, it makes so much sense! @@MontessoriLive
Do you have a video showing how you use this material to do the operation? I would love to see it!
Thanks for this presentation guide😅
😔 "promo sm"
I like the idea of "beads" to represent positive integers and "holes" to represent negatives. Thanks.
You are so welcome!
Pls where can I get the shapes
Any Montessori materials company. Look up Montessori geometric solids.
You are just great I respect the way that you guide your lovely students.
Beautiful
I love the class and I love the teaching method, it gave me better understanding of English structure
Nice....
Hello you can activate the subtitles for other languages and so those who do not know English also enjoy all your material. thanks 😍
Hey Flavia, Are you referring to the automatic subtitles that UA-cam does on videos? If so, then that's a setting that anyone can adjust based on their personal account.
Thank-you for sharing.
We'll be uploading more videos like this in the future. So keep an eye out for them!
I was wondering where did you get the supply? Thank you
Search for "Montessori metal inset material" and links to both the paper and metal insets will appear.
What age do you typically introduce the geometric solids. From Dr. Montessori's literature I garhered that I should give them to 12 and 24 month toddlers to get farmiliar with the dynamics of the shapes and learn to trace with their fingers. Is that correct?
It is possible to introduce these shapes to toddlers. At the 3-6 level, they are the first lesson in the study of geometry and can be introduced to children who are three years old. They are also used in the lower elementary level. .
@@MontessoriLive thanks for replying. I've read Dr. Montessori's material and a few other books, but I definitely don't really know what I'm doing. Do you have any videos on teaching 12 months- and 28 month olds? As well as must have learning materials for them?
@@isabellyshelly8276 Hi, Our programs focus on early childhood and elementary levels. Unfortunately, we do not have a program for the toddler level.
Great video, thanks so much
Glad you liked it!
Where can i find these rocks to teach my students
Carolina Biological is a company that has great science supplies.
I think Jade might like horses 😉
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have a question. Has the kid being introduced to the teens at this point? I assume he has but If not, how do you show the child, that 9+9=18? Do you say "1 and 8 make 18" ?
This material can be used simply to add to 10 as well. It is one of the very first lessons on addition. The child may not have mastered the teens.
❤❤❤
Thank you very much! I appreciate it you sharing your knowledge and guidance.
You're very welcome!
Thank you! This is a wonderful summary of how handwriting skills are taught!
Glad you think so!
This was very helpful thankyou
Love this learning
Thanks a lot
And really helpful
Its really awesome
I love her
The instructor who presents is absolutely lovely. I could listen and learn from her!
I find that many administrators fail because they are micro managers. The ability to delegate is key. Very informative.
Thank you.
This is such a great video, thank you! Are there any more with the rest of the symbols?
Needs more syllables
Good
Thank you so much. I needed to hear this from someone like you! Thank you!
Great presentation
thanks for share!! :)
starting from age ?
Very clear presentation 👌
my 4 year old daughter who goes to a Montessori n South Africa was telling e the names of those shape. I was so impressed, I didn't even know geometric solids. keep up the good work guys.
Thank you so much, from Chile.
It's a Lovely presentation
There are elements in this presentation that goes against the montessori philosophy. A child should not be corrected verbally. Also, the guide attempts to ignore the learners doubts and force affirmation.
Great video demonstration, great lesson and I love seeing a child “learn” not a child that knows how to do it already.
Looks like was made in 2000-2005
excellent video.
